Thats not technically our Peacock. He's his own bird. He showed up a couple of years ago and has moved in. He tends to wander across the street to the neighbors occasionaly. He sleeps 30 ft up in a tree beside our house at night. We call him "Peakook" . He is a true survivor, although I do feed him some. He's the only one I've seen, so for now we're safe from a peacock invasion! He's fearless and has my big dog terrified. You mess with the Peakook, he never forgets!

Hey there Mr. Crow,

Have you ever been camping, and tried to sleep in, but were instead woken up by loud, vociferous crows and/or ravens at the crack of dawn?

Well, peacocks are 10X worse!

They are pretty to look at, but there are very good reasons why people in communities all over the west are upset about increasing peacock populations in their neighborhoods. They make the loudest and most annoying bird noises that you have ever heard.

I'm a bird lover myself, but after hearing peacocks up close and personal, I'm glad that they don't live in my neighborhood!
