Bus Shelters Pop Up Around Town

Just in time for the rainy season, a crop of brand new bus shelters appeared seemingly overnight around Kenmore:

On Tuesday, riders were standing in the rain. By Wednesday morning, these spiffy new shelters had appeared, offering at least a little protection from the elements.

I’ve spotted at least three new shelters around the Bothell Way / 68th Ave NE intersection, but there may be even more.

Much thanks to whatever transit agency is responsible for installing these new shelters!

  2. Yes, welcome back! We’ve been crowless for a while. I noticed that the bus stop in front of Taco Time doesn’t have a shelter, even though that one will see more people than the one directly across the street.

  3. I have noticed how they are not ADA compliant (especially the one in the photo). Nice pole right in the middle of the walkway…..King County claims they will look into it…
